Chuck Newton

Lead Deacon

I am a native of North Carolina, a lover of all things sports (especially the Georgia Bulldogs) and a true patriot. I grew up in what I always believed to be a Christian home, but never realized that I lacked a true relationship with Jesus Christ. As a married adult, I had completely walked away from the church and my life was producing no spiritual fruit. In 1999, my mother was diagnosed with late-stage colon cancer. She insisted that I give church another try, and it was then that the Lord called me to himself and changed my life.

Next to my faith, family is my top priority. My wife, Stephanie, and our two children, Charlie and Caroline often can be found out on our paddle boards or just beach bumming. We left our long-time home in Atlanta to come to Clearwater about four years ago. We searched high and low for a Bible-believing church that offered family worship and an opportunity to effect the community for Christ. Just a few visits to BLDG 28 confirmed that this fellowship of believers would be our church home.  I am so grateful to be able to serve and encourage my brothers and sisters in faith.
