Students should never be seen as a group that simply needs to be entertained and controlled. Neither should they be seen as a subdivision of the church. Rather, students should be viewed as young people who are called by God to live radically for His glory, making an impact on this generation for Jesus Christ as an integral part of the local church. That is the philosophy behind 28 Student Ministry.
28 Student Ministry is a dynamic group of athletes and intellectuals, gamers and book worms, musicians, writers, and aritsts who have come together to learn of Jesus Christ through His Word and to make His name known among this community and all nations. Throwing off the pettiness of mere religion, students are challenged to dive into the deep waters of the Word of God to personally encounter, worship, and live for Him. Taking it a step further, students are then pressed to connect with and reach out to others, live missionally within their schools, homes, and community, and enjoy the life they have been given for the glory of God.
Every Wednesday, at 6:15 pm, the middle school students of BLDG 28 gather at the church for 28 Student Group. High School students come together for 28 SG at 6:45 PM. 28 SG is a high energy time of games, teaching, and discipleship with the Youth Ministry Team. Additionally, there are activities periodically, designed to bring the group closer together. Check the Events page for upcoming activities and outreach.
