Is Dating Simply Preparation for Divorce?

Over the past century, the concept of dating has so saturated our culture that a refusal to date earns a fella or lady adjectives such as outdated, legalistic, hair-brained, or even cultish. But with so many believers entering marriage with regret, shame, and baggage, and with so many marriages seemingly set up to fail through cultural dating norms, the legit question must be asked and answered – should Christians stop with this dating game?

This week, Peter, Aaron, and guest-hosts Maggie Seibert and Davontae Harrington talk about the history of dating, how and if Christian young people should date, and how to think about these topics in light of Scripture.

“If you’re not heading toward marriage, if you’re nowhere close to being ready for marriage, the idea of dating is a mistake, and it’s indefensible for a 15, 16, or 17-year-old.” ~ Aaron Currin
