Calvin Cup Golf Tournament

The 7th Annual Calvin Cup will be played this year at World Woods Golf Club in Brookesville, Florida. The first round of the tournament will take place at noon on Friday, November 2. All golfers should be at the clubhouse by 11 AM on Friday. The second round of the tournament will take place on Saturday morning, November 3. We will be staying the evening of November 2 at the Plantation on Crystal River Resort.

The Calvin Cup – patterned loosely similar to the Ryder Cup – is an event in which every golfer is assigned a tier rating (based on handicap) and selected to one of two teams. Golfers then compete with one of their teammates against two opposing teammates in an 18 hole scramble to secure points for their team. The team accruing the most points after both rounds wins the Calvin Cup.

The cost for this year’s tournament is $215 per person which covers both rounds at World Woods, a night stay at the Resort, range balls before each round, and a team polo. We will take the first 24 golfers to turn in their money, then the next 4 all the way to 32 which will be the cap. Please make any checks payable to “BLDG 28 Church” but DO NOT place them in offering baskets. Instead get them directly to Michael Campbell or Michael Gordon.
