Our Belief on Mission Work
At Bldg 28, we do not believe that mission work is for the “professional” foreign mission worker alone. Rather, we ardently believe that the city of Clearwater and the Tampa Bay area needs to be reached with the message of redemption, and we are Christ’s ambassadors to our community.
We ardently believe that the city of Clearwater and the Tampa Bay area need to be reached with the message of redemption...
We instruct the people of Bldg 28 to be earnestly praying and intentionally looking for folks who need Jesus. Each home group within Bldg 28 embraces a local outreach for the purpose of renewing our city with the Gospel. Bldg 28 also provides opportunities for the entire church to serve our city and bring grace to those in need.
BLDG 28 holds to the belief that our city, the Tampa Bay metropolitan area, our nation, and the world will be reached through the continual reproduction of Gospel-driven, culturally engaging church plants. BLDG 28 has accepting the challenge to assess, develop, support, and help deploy church planters around the world.

Local Outreach
Bldg 28 strives to serve our community in a number of ways... below are our current monthly outreach ministries. Read more about how we serve and volunteer through different outreach opportunities.
At our High Point 2.0 outreach, we meet at a Mobile Park Home one Saturday a month at 12 PM to serve hot dogs or pizza, paint nails, play soccer or kickball and present the Gospel Project. Our purpose here is to reach more of the community of High Point (along with the High Point YMCA outreach) with the Gospel, both English and Spanish speakers.
Bay Area Pregnancy Center allows us to minister to families and single mothers. Many clients coming to the Pregnancy Center are parents in need of guidance and spiritual direction. On the second Saturday of each month we provide meals for families, as well as activities and crafts for the children. This is a unique but incredibly needed ministry that meets the spiritual and physical needs of young families and unprepared mothers.
The Nursing Home is a ministry to seniors adults who, like everyone else, needs the true Gospel proclaimed. Each Sunday at 1:45 pm, Bldg 28 conducts a worship service for the residents of the home, leading them through songs, talking through the Gospel, and having conversations with those who attend.
We have partnered with the City of Clearwater in keeping our local park beautiful. Look for several opportunities throughout the year to help with clean up in our community.
We are working alongside Man Up & Go to serve foster families in our county. We work on various projects to provide for the needs that these families might have; this includes providing meals, donating back to school supplies, building/painting and periodically providing for other needs that arise. Man Up & Go also hosts classes at Bldg 28 that equip families to better serve and raise up their children.
Bldg 28 is partnering with Faith Community Nursing to establish a Health and Wellness Ministry in Clearwater. More details to come in the upcoming days.
