Man Up & Go Trauma Training Workshop

Those attending the Mentor & Trauma Training workshop on July 13 can expect to be supported, resourced, and educated on how to better understand and interact with children, teens, and young adults with backgrounds of childhood trauma.

The training will be especially helpful for mentors and caregivers engaging with those who have endured adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), toxic stress, and maltreatment, all of which are prevalent in our child welfare system (a.k.a. “foster care.”)

Drawing on current brain research, family connection models, and the personal stories of impacted children, this training can truly revolutionize the way you view and interact with those impacted by childhood trauma.

BLDG 28 Church will be hosting a trauma training session with Loryn Smith. This will be beneficial and available to any foster families enrolled in our Adopt a Family program, Man Up Tampa Bay members who want to mentor aged out foster youth, adoptive/foster families, anyone working with children, and church staff.
